FEMA required training for Flood Insurance Producers (CE credits)
Section 207 of the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2004 requires all producers selling flood insurance policies under the NFIP to be properly trained and educated about the NFIP to ensure producers may best serve their clients. Under these requirements, all producers selling flood insurance policies under the NFIP must complete a one-time course related to NFIP, which will provide three (3) hours of continuing education credit.
Currently 28 States have agreed to award three continuing education credits for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Basic Agent Tutorial web based flood insurance training for agents.
The Basic Agent Tutorial is available free-of-charge on the NFIP Training Station website http://www.nfipiservice.com/training/faq.html
The above link will "help" explain the registration process the Government has in place for the free training. The link below is the training link, please go to the above link first.
